One thing is for certain: The American Conservative Union could never pull off CPAC every year without the help and support of their dedicated sponsors. This group of conservative organizations and individuals give their time, their money, and their enthusiasm to help create an event that only lasts a few days, but stays with attendees for years to come.
Case in point: The Heritage Foundation, the conservative think-tank that has sponsored CPAC in the past, decided this year to have an even bigger presence. They then went the extra mile and helped organize and host a luncheon press conference yesterday in their Washington, DC office. ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp and ACU Executive Director Dan Schneider took the opportunity to explain changes in focus and logistics to the press, and fielded media questions as journalists prepare to cover CPAC 2016 in a few weeks. It was a productive and positive meeting for all in attendance and would never have been possible if not for the generosity of The Heriatege Foundation. We cannot thank them enough and are pleased and delighted they will be such a huge part of CPAC this year.
