ACU Urges No New Taxes in Pennsylvania

THE PENNSYLVANIA LEGISLATURE IS SET TO APPROVE THE STATE'S BUDGET – WE URGE THE MEMBERS OF THE PA STATE HOUSE AND SENATE TO NOT TAX PENNSYLVANIANS ANY FURTHER!

Alexandria, VA -- The American Conservative Union has fought against higher taxes and wasteful government spending for more than four decades, and it applauds the efforts of the members of the Pennsylvania State House and Senate who have worked to carve out a commonsense budget for the good people of Pennsylvania.

We applaud efforts to reduce spending levels and to eliminate new taxes.  Higher taxes are a sure way to stifle economic growth and Pennsylvanian families and businesses cannot afford to send more money to Harrisburg during these tough economic times.

We urge the Pennsylvania State Legislature to keep their citizens in mind before adding any new tax increases.

"Americans are taxed too much...we urge lawmakers in Pennsylvania to avoid putting additional burdens on the Pennsylvania economy," said ACU Executive Vice President and former Reagan Deputy Secretary of Labor, Dennis Whitfield.
