Another CPAC, another Paul.

The American Conservative Union, which has provided a friendly forum for the likes of Texas Rep. Ron Paul and other candidates for national office, will hear from the former congressman’s son, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, at its CPAC conference in March.

WASHINGTON, D.C.– The American Conservative Union (ACU) today announced the second round of speakers invited to appear at CPAC 2013 – the annual national Conservative Political Action Conference. Among those invited to appear are:

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) Former U.S. Representative Artur Davis U.S. Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) Former Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuno Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) U.S....

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) will be a keynote speaker at the 2013 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), a regular stopping point for presidential aspirants over the years.

"We are pleased to announce that Congressman Paul Ryan will be a featured speaker at CPAC 2013," American Conservative Union Chairman Al Cardenas said in a statement. "From the day he was elected, Chairman Ryan has been a strong voice in Congress for pro-growth, free-market economic policies and has always been a CPAC favorite."

WaPo says he’s the keynoter but the ACU’s announcement says only that he’s a “featured” speaker. There’s usually some confusion about that: When Rubio was announced as a featured speaker for CPAC 2010, Politico dubbed him the keynoter. He wasn’t. He opened the conference but it was Glenn Beck who delivered the keynote on the last day.

House Budget Chairman Paul D. Ryan is scheduled to address the Conservative Political Action Conference in March, the American Conservative Union announced Friday.

The Wisconsin congressman and former Republican vice presidential nominee is a regular at the annual gathering and is considered a potential White House candidate for 2016.

In another sign that Paul Ryan may be eyeing a run at the White House in 2016, the Conservative Political Action Conference announced Friday that he has agreed to address the conference this March.

Statement from ACU Chairman Al Cardenas:

"The American Conservative Union simply cannot accept or support the Senate Bill as passed this morning, which does nothing to rein in out of control spending. Given the dire financial situation our country faces, ACU would have supported, albeit reluctantly, the Bush era tax cut extensions for those with incomes under $400,000 to $450,000 and supported the Death Tax provisions that maintain the current exemptions and are indexed for inflation.  This is vital for our family farms and family-owned businesses. Our nation has a spending problem...
