Statement from ACU Chairman Al Cardenas on the Anniversary of 9/11

“On today’s anniversary of 9/11, the memory of that clear day still remains as vivid as it was then. When I saw President George W. Bush in Florida on that fateful morning, little did we know what would unfold a few hours later. After the devastating news of the terrorist attacks, I could not shake off my anger then, and still to this day, of these barbaric acts that killed thousands of innocent lives, including the elderly, women and children. It’s been eleven years now and this war to keep us safe at home and the world free from these dangerous terrorists continues. It is difficult to avoid the fatigue of an engagement that has taken over a decade with no end in sight; but just as these thugs seem resolute in their mission so must we be in ours -- to eradicate this evil from our midst. May God continue to bless the United States of America and our men and women in uniform who sacrifice to keep us free.”
