ACU Chairman Al Cardenas Kicks Off CPAC 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the American Conservative Union (ACU) kicked off the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC 2013) in Washington, D.C.  The three-day conference of America’s largest gathering of conservative leaders and activists started with remarks by Al Cardenas, Chairman of the ACU.

Chairman Cardenas:

“CPAC 2013 was President Reagan’s favorite conference. He saw it as family.” Continuing, he quoted Reagan saying “those who can’t subscribe to principles…let them go.”  Urging unity, he spoke directly to libertarians, members of the Tea Party, and conservatives saying “We cannot succeed without coming together as one.”
