ACU Announces Agenda for CPAC Colorado

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Conservative Union (ACU) announced today the full slate of featured regional and national speakers and panelists along with the current schedule for CPAC Colorado. This regional conference, the second of this year, comes just a day after the first Presidential debate also being held in Denver, CO, and four weeks before one of the most crucial elections in generations. At CPAC Colorado, conservatives in the Mountain West will have a unique opportunity to hear from conservative leaders and policy experts who come together in a program that will unite and promote our shared principles of smaller government, a strong national defense and traditional values.

Stand-alone speakers include: Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, ACU Chairman Al Cardenas, Former Democratic U.S. Representative and former Co-Chair for Obama for America Artur Davis, business leader and ACU Board member Carly Fiorina, U.S. Representative Cory Gardner (R-CO), Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, National Rifle Association President and ACU Board member David Keene, U.S. Representatives Doug Lamborn (R-CO) and Steve Pearce (R-NM), and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL).

With over ten panels and breakout sessions, topics include America’s fiscal crisis, the 2012 political landscape, growing the conservative movement, and the fictional “War on Women.”  Each panel will offer insight from distinguished leaders on conservative issues of today from organizations including The Heritage Foundation, The LIBRE Initiative, CitizenLink, Common Sense Policy Roundtable, Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, Independence Institute, and Alliance Defending Freedom.

The ever-popular “CPAC All Star” panel will touch upon the 2012 political landscape and what is at stake in November’s important election. Participants include: The American Spectator’s John Fund, The Washington Times’ Ralph Hallow, The Washington Examiner’s Charlie Spiering, and Chairman of Special Operations for America and Montana State Senator Ryan Zinke.

At the end of the day, CPAC Colorado will close with a special screening of Dinesh D'Souza's box office hit, “2016: Obama’s America.”   Conservatives attending the day’s events will be able to gain the tools necessary to get America back on the right track.

Additional invited speakers include: former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, former Massachusetts Governor and GOP Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney, and U.S. Representative Paul Ryan. The schedule will be updated daily and posted online as additional speakers confirm.
