The American Conservative Union seeks a marketing Intern for immediate hire.
Good candidates will have excellent writing skills and a thorough knowledge of Facebook,Instagram, Twitter, Youtube and Pinterest. You should also have a great understanding of popular culture and the 24/7 news and online blogging cycle. Video recording and editing is also a plus.
The job will be very research intensive, requiring you to pay attention to the nuances of what’s driving online and print “traffic” throughout your tenure as well as being able to draft press releases, blog posts and social media messaging as needed. You may also be called upon to film and potentially edit basic video pieces.
Most importantly you’re going to learn a ton from this position…how to track and appeal to different audiences; how social media marketing has revolutionized politics and how to successfully apply it and how to write just about anything from a tweet to a press release…and you’re going to have a lot of fun doing it.
If interested in the position, please send resume, cover letter and any other relevant work product to JTedford@conservative.org
