WASHINGTON DC – The American Conservative Union (ACU) has announced that Congressman and Doctor Michael Burgess from Texas (ACU Lifetime Rating 93%) will speak at the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), to be held Feb 22-25th at the National Harbor. Congressman Burgess, the most senior medical doctor in Congress, is uniquely qualified for handling the complex issues of America’s healthcare crisis, hemorrhaging welfare spending, and how to best serve our nation’s veterans.
“Dr. Burgess combines a keen understanding of conservative values with real-world experience,” said ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp. “His insight as both a doctor and a legislator give him a unique and important perspective on healthcare solutions, and reforms desperately needed as a result of the disastrous Obamacare mandates. We know that the thousands of grassroots activists at CPAC will learn from Dr. Burgess’ wealth of knowledge.”
“Americans have been crushed under the weight of the ACA and its paralyzing costs, limited choices, and inflexibility. A great deal of work lies ahead of us as we work to unravel the damage left by the last Administration and deliver on the promise of a patient-driven health care system. I am dedicated to achieving a more responsible, accountable government and look forward to joining likeminded conservatives in these conversations at CPAC 2017,” said Dr. Burgess.
CPAC 2017 will be held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at the National Harbor, outside of DC, February 22nd through the 25th. We are thrilled that Congressman Burgess has accepted our invitation as this year’s theme is “We the People: Reclaiming America’s Promise.” For more information about CPAC, or to register as an attendee or as media, please visit http://cpac.conservative.org/.
