Editor: “Religion Finally Dead?” is a great article. I actually believe that spiritual renewal is taking place in America. I know that is an outrageous point of view, but just because a turnaround is taking place, it doesn’t necessarily appear in statistics. If you have not read God is Back by the editors of the Financial Times, it is a good read. Blessings at Christmas to you all, Bruce Eberle

Editor: Regarding “Religion Finally Dead?” for sure the “media” have little time for the details and even fewer readers of their messages care a wit! Sadly, leftist intellectuals exploit the situation to serve their agenda to undermine our culture as you have demonstrated in this thoughtful analysis of the “details” of the Pew study. You are likely a “voice in the wilderness” as our Nation continues relentlessly on the path to decay from within. Still there is hope that the sorry end is not inevitable. Thanks for your message which is quite timely during this Christmas season. Though the battle is often discouraging it is unquestionably worth our commitment. Ron Leahy
Editor: Regarding “Religion Finally Dead?” the media and elite spin on the Pew report is a ploy right from Saul Alinsky in his “Rules For Radicals:” create a problem, advertise the situation, tell the public how well the pro-forces are doing and how poorly the opponents are doing and claim victory. That has been used By ACORN, unions, protesters and the media for years. We don’t like religion it has rules so let’s denigrate it , mock it and claim victory is what we are seeing. James Poulsen
Editor: Regarding “Religion Finally Dead?” according to a Breitbart Big Government article, “President Obama’s electoral victory in the 2012 election cycle was greatly helped by his massive victory with a previously unnoticed voting bloc: the irreligious. While statisticians focus on the impact of the Hispanic vote in swing states, it turns out that those who do not attend church and consider themselves religiously unaffiliated broke huge for President Obama in the swing states. Iowa pollster J. Ann Selzer pointed out: In Ohio, Obama lost the Protestant vote by 3 points and the Catholic vote by 11, but he won the “nones” — 12 percent of the state’s electorate — by 47 points. In Virginia, Obama lost Protestants by 9 points and Catholics by 10 points, but won 76 percent of the “nones,” who were 10 percent of the electorate. In Florida, Obama lost Protestants by 16 points and Catholics by 5 points, but captured 72 percent of the “nones.” They were 15 percent of the electorate. Similar results were seen in states including Michigan, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.Nationally, Mitt Romney carried religious voters by a wide margin, particularly Protestants (+15) and Catholics (+2). The irreligious voters said their top priorities were same-sex marriage and abortion. It was no coincidence when the Democratic Party tried to remove God from the platform – and it didn’t hurt them overall.” J
Editor: Regarding “Religion Finally Dead?” my question is why can’t the ACLU and atheist groups be sued for harassment and discrimination? They threaten towns and schools with lawsuits to remove Christ from Christmas and the public square. I believe that these liberal groups should be sued first. Joan Padian, Irvington, NY
Editor: Regarding “Religion Finally Dead?” Obama didn’t win by enough popular voters for us to give up our VALUES. We don’t need to “court” the gays or agree with “stoned” liberals on pot. Lincoln said something about we would never be destroyed from “outside” but would destroy ourselves from within. Please don’t give up the fight for conservative principles. Pete Christie
Editor: Alex Castellanos’ “Bottom-Up Government,” is excellent. Jameson Campaigne
Editor: Claes Ryn’s article “Conservative Confusion” on the Jacobins is a superb essay that should be posted everywhere. I noticed that there is no mechanism on his page and I assume any other page to post an individual article on Facebook, Twitter, etc. I highly recommend making that happen. People will help circulate stand-out articles like this one if they can click a button on a page. Allen Roth
Editor: Jeff Crouere’s “Romney Disaster” has good insight. Do you think it would have made a difference in Romney had real plans during the campaign? Nobody believes in visions (that’s what Disneyland is for) but detailed step-by-step details. On day one this is going to be done, etc. I think that this could have been effective at least in the area of energy independence. If plans were formulated it might have forced Obama to be on the defensive having to respond to different elements that are released on a day by day basis prior to the election. Keep up the effort. Joe
