American Conservative Union PAC Endorses Ann Wagner for U.S. Congress

May 20, 2012

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Conservative Union (ACU) Political Action Committee (PAC) today endorsed Ann Wagner for Missouri’s second-district U.S. Congress seat, currently held by Congressman Todd Akin.

“Ann Wagner has a proven record of service to her country and community through promotion and preservation of true conservatism. As Ambassador, she promoted American interests in the global arena. Wagner will bring valuable business experience from her time in the private sector to join conservatives in the Congress working to address today’s challenges. Her election to Congress will be a victory for all Missourians,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “The American Conservative Union PAC is proud to endorse her for Missouri’s Second District, and we look forward to working with her toward a victory in the November election.”

“I am honored to have earned the trust and endorsement from the American Conservative Union PAC and thank them for helping our campaign for Congress in Missouri’s 2nd District. ACU can count on me in Congress to fight for core conservative principles and against those in Congress who think that more government, more tax revenue and increased spending are the answers to all the Nation’s ills. I look forward to joining the fight next year in Congress.”

The ACU Political Action Committee is the political arm of the American Conservative Union, the nation’s oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization. The committee supports candidates for office who reflect the conservative principles on which ACU was founded. The goals of the ACU PAC are to increase the number of quality candidates who share our commitment to conservative principles and to protecting and advancing the fiscal, social and security priorities of the Reagan era. These funds are utilized in conjunction with endorsements and public announcements to communicate our support for chosen candidates to their constituents and conservatives across the nation.

The ACU recently announced its 2011 Ratings of Congress, the 41st edition of the conservative ratings guide. For more information on the ACU PAC or to download the full 2011 Ratings of Congress, please visit conservative.org. To support, or learn more about, Ann Wagner, visit annwagner.com.
