WASHINGTON DC – Today, the American Conservative Union commended Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai as he continues to work to liberate the internet from onerous Obama-era regulations by taking his case directly to the American people and communities that stand to benefit from an unencumbered internet.
This week, Chairman Pai embarks on a multi-state tour to visit with working Americans from diverse backgrounds to meet with them about how a free and open internet will bridge the digital divide that continues to limit access for some families and stifle growth for small businesses in America today.
ACU Executive Director Dan Schneider praised the FCC Chairman’s approach of direct engagement saying, “Chairman Pai has his finger on the pulse of everyday Americans and is the perfect representative to listen to and address Americans’ needs and concerns about the important role the internet continues to play in people’s lives. His actions have demonstrated an eagerness to address real problems facing Americans by creating an environment with less regulation and more free-market incentives that will benefit communities all across the country. That’s the right approach!”
