WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Conservative Union (ACU) today announced U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) as a featured speaker at the 2013 regional Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013.
“We are delighted to welcome Senator Lee as a featured speaker to our 2013 regional CPAC in St. Louis,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “Senator Lee delivered a powerful speech during CPAC 2013 in March addressing our government’s out-of-control spending. We look forward to hearing his thoughts on the budget and the need for fiscal responsibility in September.”
Elected in 2010 as Utah’s 16th Senator, Mike Lee has spent his career defending the basic liberties of Americans and Utahns as a tireless advocate for our founding constitutional principles. Throughout his career, Sen. Lee earned a reputation as an outstanding practitioner of the law based on his sound judgment, abilities in the courtroom, and thorough understanding of the Constitution. Today, he fights to preserve America’s proud founding documents in the United States Senate. He advocates efforts to support constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and economic prosperity.
CPAC St. Louis will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at the St. Charles Convention Center. It will provide a day of blockbuster speeches, policy discussions and networking opportunities—all celebrating the shared principles of smaller government, a strong national defense and traditional values. For additional information, visit our website at conservative.org/cpac/stlouis, on Facebook at facebook.com/CPACNews, or on Twitter at @cpacnews and #CPACSTL. Media registration (including bloggers) will open on September 3, 2013.
ACU has proudly hosted CPAC – the nation’s largest gathering of conservatives – every year since 1973 in Washington, D.C. And now with an additional regional edition each year, CPAC educates and energizes thousands of attendees, featuring all of the leading conservative organizations and speakers who drive conservative thought in the nation.
Founded in 1964, the American Conservative Union (ACU) is the oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization in the nation. For almost fifty years, ACU has served as an umbrella organization harnessing the collective strength of conservative organizations fighting for Americans who are concerned with liberty, personal responsibility, traditional values, and strong national defense. ACU defines conservatism, grows conservatism, and wins for conservatism.
