St. Charles, MO – The American Conservative Union (ACU) today announced the dates for the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C. and the regional CPAC to be held in San Diego, California.

“In honor of the Golden Anniversary of ACU, we are thrilled to announce our two hallmark events for 2014,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “2014 is a critical year for conservatives and once again CPAC National will be the must-attend event which brings together the movement to highlight conservative leaders and educate and mobilize activists. We are also pleased to announce that for the first time we will be bringing a regional CPAC to President Ronald Reagan’s home state. Exactly 50 years after President Reagan delivered his seminal ‘A Time for Choosing’ speech, we are excited to go to California and re-energize the thousands of conservatives in San Diego and the surrounding area who are combating the failing leftist agenda.”

The 2014 CPAC regional conference will be held at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center in San Diego, California, on Saturday August 9, 2014.

The 41st annual Conservative Political Action Conference, to be held March 6-8, 2014, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, will again provide three days of blockbuster speeches, policy discussions and networking opportunities – all celebrating the shared principles of smaller government, a strong national defense and traditional American values. ACU has proudly hosted CPAC – the nation’s largest gathering of conservatives – every year since 1973 in Washington, D.C. And now with an additional regional edition each year, CPAC educates and energizes thousands of attendees, featuring all of the leading conservative organizations and speakers who drive conservative thought in the nation.

Founded in 1964, the American Conservative Union (ACU) is the oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization in the nation. For almost fifty years, ACU has served as an umbrella organization harnessing the collective strength of conservative organizations fighting for Americans who are concerned with liberty, personal responsibility, traditional values, and strong national defense. ACU defines conservatism, grows conservatism, and wins for conservatism.
