ACU Announces Herman Cain to Address CPAC Chicago

April 10, 2012

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Conservative Union (ACU) Chairman Al Cardenas today announced Herman Cain, former presidential candidate, businessman and architect of the “9-9-9 Economic Recovery and Jobs” plan, will be a featured speaker at CPAC Chicago – the first of two regional Conservative Political Action Conferences slated for 2012.

Scheduled for Friday, June 8, 2012, CPAC Chicago takes the fight for the future of America directly to President Barack Obama’s backyard. The event will energize and mobilize Midwestern conservatives, giving them the tools needed to defeat the liberal agenda in 2012, while also featuring national conservative leaders, such as Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and highlighting rising conservative stars in the region.

“Through his multifaceted ‘Solutions Revolution’ effort, Herman Cain continues to be a driving force in the conservative movement and a strong advocate for innovative government reform solutions,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “Herman Cain is a great friend of the American Conservative Union, and we look forward to hosting him this summer at CPAC Chicago – the Midwest’s premier conservative gathering of 2012.”

The ACU has hosted CPAC since 1974, and it now stands as the largest annual gathering of conservatives in the nation. When CPAC heads back on the road this summer for its second-ever regional event, ACU is teaming up with United to Restore Freedom (URF), home of Right Nation, and The Heartland Institute to bring national and regional leaders together with local grassroots activists for a day of blockbuster speeches, policy discussions and networking opportunities — all celebrating the shared principles of smaller government, a strong national defense and traditional values.

CPAC Chicago will be held just minutes from O’Hare International Airport at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, on June 8, 2012. As we “all know” from listening

Founded in 1964, the American Conservative Union (ACU) is the original conservative organization in the nation. For more than forty years, ACU has served as an umbrella organization harnessing the collective strength of conservative organizations fighting for Americans who are concerned with liberty, personal responsibility, traditional values, and strong national defense. As America's premier conservative voice, ACU is the leading entity in providing conservative positions on issues to Congress, the Executive Branch, State Legislatures, the media, political candidates, and the public.
