WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Conservative Union (ACU) today announced that the legendary Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) is once again going back on the road this fall, partnering with the Show-Me Institute and nationally syndicated radio host Dana Loesch and St. Louis’ NewsTalk 97.1 (KFTK) to host the 2013 regional CPAC in St. Louis, Missouri. Scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the St. Charles Convention Center, CPAC St. Louis will energize and mobilize conservatives, giving them the tools needed to defeat the liberal agenda in 2014, while also highlighting rising conservative stars and issues in the region. Online registration is now available at conservative.org.
“We are pleased to join forces with great Missouri conservative powerhouses — Dana Loesch and FM NewsTalk 97.1 (KFTK) as well as the The Show-Me Institute — to host our fourth regional CPAC in St. Louis, the heartland of America,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “At a time when the future of America is hanging in the balance, we are excited to unite fellow allies, mobilize conservatives and highlight regional leaders who have taken an active effort to promote the principles of traditional values and limited government.”
ACU is pleased to announce the Show-Me Institute as a featured partner for CPAC St. Louis. The Show-Me Institute is a research and educational institute dedicated to improving the quality of life for all citizens of Missouri by advancing sensible, well-researched solutions to state and local policy issues. The work of the institute is rooted in the American tradition of free markets and individual liberty. By applying those principles to the problems facing the state, the Show-Me Institute hopes to build a Missouri with a thriving economy and a vibrant civil society, a Missouri that leads the nation in wealth, freedom, and opportunity for all.
ACU is also pleased to announce St. Louis-based radio host Dana Loesch and FM NewsTalk 97.1 (KFTK) as the radio partner for CPAC St. Louis. Dana Loesch hosts her #1 rated, daily syndicated radio show, “The Dana Show: The Conservative Alternative” from her flagship station KFTK and is a political commentator. She has described herself as a “conservatarian.” Dana’s original brand of young, conservative irreverence has found a fast-growing audience in multiple mediums. The 2012 winner of Accuracy In Media’s Grassroots Journalism award and the inaugural Breitbart Spirit Award, Dana was one of the original Breitbart editors selected by the late Andrew Breitbart to head what was BigJournalism.com before departing in 2012.
ACU is proud to have St. Louis’ number one newstalk station, FM NewsTalk 97.1 (KFTK) as the official radio partner for CPAC St. Louis. 97.1 is THE conservative voice of the gateway city, anchored by Fox Radio News and great conservative voices like Jamie Allman in the morning, Glenn Beck, Dana Loesch, Dave Glover, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin. FM NewsTalk 97.1 broadcasts live every year from national CPAC and has long been a supporter of the ACU message.
The ACU has hosted national CPAC since 1974, and it now stands as the largest annual gathering of conservatives in the nation. For CPAC St. Louis, ACU will bring national and regional leaders together with local grassroots activists for a day of blockbuster speeches, policy discussions and networking opportunities—all celebrating the shared principles of smaller government, a strong national defense and traditional values.
